"The fruit of imagination comes alive through a variety of challenges"
Now Just let that little genius subconscious play its part.
The psychological journey of humankind, demands an artistic language to express
an emotional attitude, while the happiness and sorrow, rivals of all times compete the
complications of mood.
"An essential base for creativity" ...And so the mystery remains concealed.
"Sometimes mood gets in charge, and carries me on to an unknown path, and my
confidence dares me to follow and see some surprises."
In 1981,he lived in Madrid Spain for tow years, which provided him an enormous
opportunity to study old masters, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Diego Velasques, at
El Museo Del prado.
In 1984 the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts exhibited a collection of French painter
William Bouguereau, whose large canvases were breathtaking. "I was blessed to see
masterpieces of this great 19th Century painter."
Cyrus has been very passionate about art from an early age. His knowledge of past
and present techniques enables him to diversify between soft harmonious
combination of meticulous juxtaposition layers of old masters "glazing",to a one
setting bold textures, A la prima Nineteen-Century Impressionist "Plein Air".
In constant exploration, he pushes the elastic limitations of his talent to render a
variety of subjects, and challenge the haste of the outdoor sunlight and laborious
accuracy of indoors, in-betweens.
A manifestation of love, dedication, and discipline.
Cyrus has been painting for over forty years. He has studied at fine art school
In Isfahan, Iran, Where he born in 1951.
A visit to United States between 1978-79 allowed Cyrus to experience a wider
atmosphere in visual art.
In 1983, he immigrated to Canada to reside in Montreal where he ran a teaching in oil
Painting workshop.
Artist statement
To have a challenging work environment, discipline and devotion are imperative.
Being in touch with the restlessness of human soul and magical feeling of nature,
painting is a religious relief, for me.
It is my curiosity to see how a blank canvas, some raw colors and lifeless brush,
blend together to open a fascinating window to a visual artistic desire.
It is my privilege to share these blessings with universal appreciation.
